Brandon Fraser used Krav Maga training to prepare for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emporer

Here is a link to an Movies Online interview with Brandon Fraser, in which he tells about director Rob Cohen putting him in Krav Maga training to get him ready for his fight scenes with Jet Li.

Also, here is an excerpt from a Fangoria interview with the movie's director:

I also had Brendan trained in [the Israeli self-defense technique] Krav Maga. I wanted him to have a brutal, direct approach and not try to emulate or imitate the fluidity of Jet Li.

Fraser discusses his Krav Maga training in his interview published by WalesOnline.co.uk:

Months before filming started, Fraser started his preparation for the task ahead and immersed himself in the rigours of mastering the Israeli martial arts Krav Maga and reacquainting himself on how to handle weapons, without making them look like an “actor with a prop”.

“Rob Cohen, our director, dispatched me to train in Krav Maga and with firearms, ratan sticks, and strength and endurance training to toughen myself, that helped prepare for a 100-plus day shooting schedule,” explains Fraser.
